Keith
I grew up in the American Southeast. My work has taken me to many places, from the United States, Caribbean to Japan, Central and South America and Macedonia.
This gave me the opportunity to interact with different people and cultures throughout the world. I love to see and understand my surroundings, as well as interacting with people and understanding their cultures.
It was on one of my trips to Peru that I met my wife Sandra, who is originally from San Sebastian. We decided to move here so that our children could grow up in this beautiful city.
Sandra
I am a San Sebastian native, born and raised here. I later attended College in Pamplona from which I obtained my degree in Nursing. After a few years of working as a Registered Nurse in San Sebastian, I decided to volunteer in South America with a Humanitarian Aid Program.
It was there where I met my husband, Keith. During my thirteen years in the United States, I had the opportunity to work and interact with wonderful people throughout the country.
How did we get Started!
We have visited many cities together or alone and felt unsure or lost when it came time to see the sights or interact with the local people. It would have been nice to have had someone to give us a quick rundown of the city, sights and more importantly the customs of each region in our language and from a visitor’s vantage point at the start of each trip. This would have made these trips more enjoyable and defiantly more relaxing.
During our days walking through San Sebastian as well as in the outlying cities, we have encountered many English speaking visitors that did not understand the difference between the Basque Country and the rest of Spain. We want to make sure that anyone who comes to this unique region can fully enjoy it. This is the main reason San Sebastian Walking Tours was created.
